Overview

Responsible for cleaning all areas assigned and maintaining compliance with the regulations of the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA); works under the direction and policies of the employer.

Essential Functions

  • Thoroughly clean areas by, but not limited to, dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, empty trash, and window washing

  • Pressure clean chairs and floors

Secondary Functions

  • Operate and maintain all equipment/tools

  • Flexible to work within any area of the Maintenance department

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

* Minimum 18 years old

* Meet all regulations pertaining to health, safety, and personal hygiene in accordance with City, State, and Federal laws
* Comply with Company / Department policies, including attendance
* Must not present a direct threat to health, safety, or the welfare of fellow employees or others
* Treat all guests, vendors, and employees with courtesy, respect, fairness, and consistency
* Professional in appearance, grooming, and behavior
* Ability to interpret and complete all communications received and submitted
* Respond in a timely manner to all guests and employees
* Obtain a pari-mutuel license as required by the State of Florida

Working Environment

* Exposure to outdoor/indoor elements and air conditioning/heat
* Continuous walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping, carrying and wiping
* Frequent pushing, carts, brooms, mops
* Hands exposed to fluids frequently
* Occasional lifting (minimum of 25lbs.)
* Exposure to various cleaning solutions and sanitizers
* Overtime work on an "as needed" basis

Mop, pail, broom, dustpan, vacuum, scrubber, motorized sweeper, truck, ladders, scaffold, pressure cleaner, scraper, and chemicals
